Gluten Free Restaurant Review: Builders Arms Hotel

I recently went to Melbourne to see the Harry Potter play at the Princess Theatre. It was AMAZING and I highly recommend you go and see it if you can.

While I was in Melbourne, my family and I went to the Builders Arms Hotel Bistro for dinner. As it was a large group of people, we had a set menu of $65 per person. The food was absolutely delicious and there was some fantastic GF options. Anything that contained gluten on the set menu, they provided me with a GF alternative and they were very courteous about my Coeliac requirements. I phoned ahead to make sure they knew I was a Coeliac so they were prepared, this is always the best option to avoid disappointment.

Throughout the night, I tried the following:

Fried spiced chickpeas

Chicken liver pâté, green tomato chutney with GF bread

New season asparagus, Béarnaise sauce & toasted hazelnuts

Chopped broccoli, mint, parsley & almond

Slow cooked Lamb for the Rotisserie of the day

Roasted Potatoes, confit garlic dressing

Baby gem lettuce, ranch dressing

Ricotta cheesecake, blood orange & manuka honey

Spiced chickpeas are now my favorite things ever, a must try if you go.

You can take a look at their menu here.
